Mildred Hazel (Sturgell) Wack

Mildred Hazel Wack, 91, of New Waterford, Ohio and formerly of Laurelville, Ohio, went to heaven on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Salem North Nursing Facility in Salem, Ohio.  She was born on December 20, 1932, in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Maggie (Spencer) Sturgell.  She was a member of the Nicholas Drive Church of God, Circleville.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband David E. Wack in August 2013; sons Donald and Gary Tarter; brothers Herbert, John, William, Glen, and Sandy (Sank); sisters Louwanna, Maude, Darlene, Ina Sue, and Jacklyn.

Hazel is survived by her son John (Ruth) Tarter of Warren, Ohio; brother Jeff B. Sturgell of Florida; niece Sue (Bud) Pringle of New Waterford, with whom she resided; numerous nieces and nephews; and all her brothers and sisters in Christ at the Circleville Church of God that she dearly loved.  Many thanks to Frank and Debbie Yokum for all the support and care they gave.  What a blessing they were to her and her niece, Sue Pringle.
