Myrtle  L.  (Brown)  Adkins,  84, of Rush, KY and formerly of Lockbourne, OH., passed away Wed. July 19, 2017 at her residence.  Myrtle was born in Blaine, KY on Sept. 7, 1932 to the late James Clyde and Bessie (Curnette) Boggs.  She was a graduate of Virgie High School in Pike Co. KY and retired after 30 years from Kroger Bakery in Columbus, OH.  Myrtle was the last surviving founding member and still a very active member of Little Angel  Old Regular Baptist Church  in Groveport, OH.  Myrtle loved going to church, camping, playing board games and cards and reading.

Preceded in death in 2011 by first husband of 62 years Ballard Brown; sisters Carol, Noel, Patricia Sherman, Wilma Castle, Charlotte Boggs; brothers Donald Boggs and James Clyde Boggs Jr.

Myrtle is survived by husband Jack Adkins; son Leonard (Pat) Brown of Lockbourne; daughter Kathy (David) Mankin of Dublin; grandchildren Chris Brown, Jennifer Wood, Andrew Mankin, Amy(Ryan) Gilmore; great grandchildren Landyn Brown, Caden Wood, Gabby Wood, Levi Mankin, Jake and Will Gilmore; brother Ronnie Boggs; sister Marilyn Curry of Columbus and Brenda (Bill) Rodney of Pickerington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a service to follow at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat. July 22, 2017 at Little Angel Old Regular Baptist Church, 5733 Saltzgaber Rd. Groveport, OH with Moderator Danny Carty officiating. Interment will follow at Beckett Cemetery in Commercial Point, OH.  In lieu of Flowers contributions can be made to: Little Angel Church, c/o Jaime Tickle, Treasurer, 3996 Paradise Rd.
