Nellie M. (Noggle) Amspaugh

Nellie M. Amspaugh, age 100, of New Albany, OH passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Sage Park Memory Care in Gahanna, OH.  Nellie was born on July 19, 1922 in Scioto Township, Pickaway County, OH.  She was a 1941 graduate of Scioto Twp. High School and started working at Curtis-Wright during WWII where she met her husband, Charles.  Together, they ran a grocery store and she loved cooking and baking.  She later worked at and retired in 1995 from the cashier dept. at OPERS.

She is preceded in death by husband Charles F. Amspaugh in 1967; infant son Donald E. Amspaugh; son Joseph R. Amspaugh; her parents Ralph and Grace (Delong) Noggle; brothers Lester “Doc”, Harold, Russell and Alton Charles Noggle.

Nellie is survived by son Robert E. (Deby) Amspaugh of Pataskala and Kathie S. Amspaugh of New Albany; grandchildren Jamie (Mike) Lange, Jason Amspaugh, Joey Amspaugh (Alexa), Nathan (Penny) Amspaugh, Bradi Amspaugh, Ben Amspaugh; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Joan Amspaugh of Vero Beach, FL; sister-in-law Gloria Noggle of Ashville; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 7th from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Noon at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Pataskala Cemetery.
