Paul R. Everts

Paul R. Everts 70 of Reynoldsburg, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 at Mt. Carmel East Columbus. He was born Nov. 8, 1943 in Columbus, OH to the late Floyd and Nellie May (Dean) Everts. Paul retired from Techneglass the former Owen-Illinois in Columbus after 40 years and was a little league coach for many years at Teays Valley. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and very seldom ever missed. He was the best Dad, Grandpa , and friend anyone could ever have. Preceded in death by son, Rick in 1992; sisters, Dessie and Bertha; brothers, Earl "Bud" and Dale. Survived by his girl friend of 18 years, Judith A. Damron; son Brian Everts of New Albany, daughter Paula J. Everts of So. Bloomfield( special friend Betty Johnson of Groveport; step daughter Kelli (Jimmy) Bowman of Coal Grove; daughter-in-law, Kelly Everts of Alexandria, OH;grandchildren, Ashley, Alec, Kody, and Connor Everts; great grandchild, Emelia Zeger; brother Elmer W. (Goldie) Everts of Columbus; sister Mary "Cis" (Paul) Easterday of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Thurs. Oct. 2, 2014 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with Pastor Floyd Hubbell officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wed. at the funeral home. The family request in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
