Paul E Welsh Jr. age 77 of Ashville, OH permanently transferred to 5 Unit on Tues. April 10, 2018 at OSU Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus, OH. Paul was born on Oct. 10, 1940 to the late Paul E. Welsh Sr. and Louise (Runkle) Massie in Scioto Twp. Pickaway County, OH. Paul attended Scioto Twp. School and had retired as Fire Chief after 43 years from Harrison Twp. Fire Dept. and also from Falters Packing after 43 years. Paul had also worked for the past 20 yrs. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home. Paul was a member of Zion United Methodist Church for many years and served 3 terms as Harrison Twp. Trustee and received a past Most Distinguished Citizen Award during Ashville Community Men’s Club 4 ^th of July.

Paul is preceded in death by his first wife Sharon Kay Welsh in 1995; his parents, his in-laws Steve and Dorothy Cook who were like parents to him and brothers Lewis(Jeff) and Ralph(Skip) Welsh.

Paul is survived by wife of 21 years Linda M. (Cathel); children Steve (Jill) Welsh, Paul Russell (Colene) Welsh, Paula Welsh, Treva Welsh (Dale Costlow) all of Ashville, Kevin (Robin) Welsh of Dublin; stepchildren Angie (Todd) Ruff and Stacey (Stephanie) Eitel both of Circleville; sisters Barb (Carl) Leopold of Akron, Grace Moore of Circleville, Connie Welsh of Westerville and Jodi Welsh of Ashville; Michelle (Todd) Smith; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a couple on the way and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be on Fri. April 13, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. Funeral Service will be on 11:00 a.m. on Sat. April 14, 2018 at Zion Methodist Church, 42 Plum St. Ashville with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Harrison Twp. Cemetery in South Bloomfield, OH.
