Pauline Loy

Pauline Powell Loy, age 87, of Ashville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her residence. Pauline was born on October 12, 1938, in Monroe County, Ohio to the late Kennard Kinney and Dessie Ruth (Truex) Powell. A graduate of Belmont School, Pauline worked as the Secretary at Walnut Elementary School, until her retirement in 2005. Pauline was a member of Blessed Hope Bible Church. She enjoyed passing the time working crossword puzzles and word searches, but she was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, E. Jay Loy; daughter, Heidi Loy; brothers, Gene (Joyce) Powell and Edison Powell.

She leaves behind a son, Eric (Sarah) Loy; daughter, Lori (Rob) Halliburton; grandchildren, Tommy (Myra) Loy, Victoria (Aaron) Loving, Elizabeth Loy, Christina (Kyle) Lee and Bryan (Stephanie) Bates; numerous great-grandchildren; brother J.K (Rita) Powell; sister, Cindy (Bob) Wade; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday, March 27 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH. A Funeral Service will take place immediately following with Pastor Todd Hautala officiating.
