Randi R. Maguire, 44, of South Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thurs. Aug. 27, 2020.  She was born in Columbus on June 13, 1976.  Randi worked at Wendy’s in South Bloomfield, where she met the love of her life, Bryon, and later at Scioto Downs.  She was an animal lover, especially her dog Trooper, and was active in local animal rescue and treatment.  She was also an award-winning, multi-media artist, with creativity at her core.

Randi was preceded in death by her mother, Amy R. (Morris) Atwood; daughter, Alexandra K. Maguire; grandmother Barbara Morris; grandfather Vernon Morris.  She is survived by her husband, Bryon S. Smith; children, Wesley A. Maguire and Amy R. Maguire, both of Columbus; step-sons Ayden and Lucus Smith; her father and stepmother Lawrence Jr. and Karen Atwood of Powell; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law Larry Sr. and Winnona Smith of Englewood, Florida; sister Molly Slater of Pataskala; stepbrothers Zachary (Anne) Haldeman of Santa Monica, California and Kevin (Ami) Haldeman of Tokyo, Japan; niece and nephews, Katie and Ethan Slater and Richie Cooper; special aunt Fran (Bill) Carter; grandparents, Lawrence Sr. and Jeanette Atwood of Wellston; numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The family will receive friends on Sat. Sept. 5, 2020, from 4-6 p.m., with a time to share at 6:00 p.m., in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Furry Friends Fund, 7553 Kingston Adelphi Rd.
