Richard "Dick" R. Moore Sr.

Richard “Dick” R. Moore, 90 of Lockbourne, OH passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Mount Carmel East.  Dick was born on March 28, 1930 to the late Isaac and Willie Belle (Jordan) Moore in Lawrence County, KY. He retired from Sloter Concrete in Columbus after over 40 years.  Dick was a longtime member of the Lockbourne Freewill Baptist Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed bluegrass music, farming and hunting.

He is also preceded in death by his wife Delores F.  Moore; sisters Herma Jean Godfrey, Margaret Lozier, Hazel Garrett, Helen Wollin and infant sister Gladys Moore; brothers Charles Vernon Moore and Willie B. Moore.

Dick is survived by children Richard “Rick” Moore Jr., Amy (Jimmy) VanBlarcume, and Susan (Tony) Grandstaff; grandchildren, Dustin (Tiff) & Tyler (Tiffany) VanBlarcume and Jerica & Matti French along with two step grandchildren, Destiny and Caden Grandstaff, and 2 great grandchildren, Dalton VanBlarcume and Brynlee Miller; numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Geneva Burton; beloved canine Gracie; good friends and church family.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24th with Funeral Service on Thurs. March 25th at 11 a.m. at Lockbourne Freewill Baptist Church, 3533 Rohr Rd. Groveport with Pastor Leon Stevens       officiating.  Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Lockbourne.
