Richard W Sutherland

Richard W. Sutherland , 71 of Kingston, OH passed away at home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.  He was born on October 30, 1953 in South Charleston, WV, the son of the late John Sutherland, and Mary Sutherland, who survives.  Rich had worked at GE in Circleville for 16 years, CBS Cleaning Services for 10 years and later was self-employed as a small engine mechanic and R&R Maintenance, his lawncare/landscaping business.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed building and playing drums.  Rich was a member of Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union in Circleville, where he played the drums on the worship team for several years.

He is survived by wife Tammy L. Sutherland; children Leah Sutherland of Upper Arlington; Jason Haley of Reno, NV, Kristin Murray of Laurelville and Travis M (Caitlin) Anderson of Circleville; mother Mary Sutherland of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; brother David (Cheryl) Sutherland of International Falls, MN; sister Lisa (Dean) Ruggles of Hudson, OH; numerous grandchildren and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

At Rich’s request, cremation was observed.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Circleville First Church Fellowship Hall, 436 E. Ohio Street, on Friday, November 22nd at 4:00 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, OH.   Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
