Robert "Cowboy" C. Edmonds Sr.

Robert “Cowboy” C. Edmonds, Sr. 71 of Lookout, WV passed away after a brief bout with cancer on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at OSU James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH.   He was born August 26, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Leroy Edmonds and Barbara (Mathis) Byrge.  Robert retired from long distance trucking and a number of other occupations over his life.  He was an avid dog lover, enjoyed living in the country, gardening, and driving his tractor.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Edward Sr., Jerry, and Steve.

He is survived by his children Judy (Matt) Thompson of Ashville, Bob (Heather) Edmonds of Lithopolis, and Ken (Lori) Edmonds of Amanda; grandchildren Megan (David) Maloney, Taylor (Nick) Evans, Madison Jessie, Annabelle (Evan) Queen, Maggie Edmonds, Sarah Edmonds, Betsy Edmonds, Aaron Sexton, Jeffrey Sexton, and Mary Ann Blanton; great granddaughter Addison Brown; sister Patricia Hoy; stepdaughter Jamie Edmonds.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:00 noon at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Pastor Mike O’Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, So.
