Robert "Bob" L. Bartholomew Jr.

Robert “Bob” L. Bartholomew Jr., 85 of Ashville, OH passed away at home on Saturday, December 9, 2023.  He was born on June 29, 1938 to the late Robert L. and Margaret (Glick) Bartholomew Sr. in Ashville, OH.  He was a 1957 graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.  Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a big sports fan especially football and baseball and coached his boys as they were growing up.

He is also preceded in death by wife Dixie Lee (Morrison) Bartholomew in 2008; grandchild Ashley Bartholomew.

Survived by sons, Scott (Karla) of Williamsport, Tracy (Deborah) of Londonderry and Doug (Pamela) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Ryan, Wade, Brooke, Devan, Reagan, Ashton, Deleen; 11 great grandchildren; siblings Ron (Linda) Bartholomew, Peggy (Dave) Gamble, Patty (Harry) Lee, Kim (Raymond) Stewart; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, with a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15th at Harrison Township Cemetery in South Bloomfield with Pastor Rick Jones officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Pickaway County Historical and Genealogical Library, 210 North Court St. Circleville, OH 43113.
