Robert "Bob" L. Rich

Robert “Bob” L. Rich, age 85 of Grove City, OH formerly of Ashville passed away on Wed. Oct. 3, 2018 at Kobacker House in Columbus, OH.  He was born on May 20, 1933 to the late Lloyd and Pauline (Finley) Rich in Columbus, OH.  He was a graduate of Central High School and served in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict.  He was a Dept. Mgr. for Kroger Co. having worked there for over 35 years.  In his later years, he had a lawncare business mowing in the Ashville area and enjoyed gardening, landscaping and antiquing.  Bob was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and very involved with the Ashville Food Pantry.  Bob was a very giving, caring, kind person.

Besides his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a brother Harold and daughter Tracy (Zwayer) VanMeter.

Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years Nancy M. (Wardell); children Mike (Linda) Rich of Worthington, Jeff (Amanda) Rich of Westerville, Greg (Lisa) Rich of Reynoldsburg, Doug (Elizabeth) Rich of Waynesville, NC, L. Todd Zwayer of Dayton, Joyce (George) Nyswaner of Grove City; brothers Jim (Carol) Rich of Whitehall and Bill (Terri) Rich of Columbus and sister-in-law Jean Rich of Florida; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Fri. Oct. 5th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat. Oct. 6, 2018 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St. Ashville, OH 43103. Interment will follow at Harrison Twp.
