Robert Russell Mcfarland Jr.

Robert Russell McFarland, Jr. age 78 of Ashville, OH passed away on Sat. July 14, 2018 at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus, OH.  He was born on Jan. 27, 1940 to the late Robert Russell Sr. and Agnes (Morehart) McFarland in Pickaway County.  Robert was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Era and played trombone in the 61st Army Band.  He retired as Painter 2 Supervisor from Department of Corrections in Orient, OH.

Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife Florence “Flo” in July of 2017.

Surviving are sons Robert Russell McFarland of Ashville and Harold Edward McFarland and wife Jill McFarland of Circleville; brother Wyatt McFarland of Lancaster and sister-in-law Patsy Doyle of Amanda.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in Londonderry, OH.
