Robert L. Stout

Robert L. Stout, age 82 of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Ashville, pass away Wed. May 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born Oct. 25, 1931 at Ashville, Ohio, son of the late Elmer and Sarah Woolever Stout. Robert was a farmer, gunsmith, and served as a Dupty Sheriff. He was a life member of NRA and OGCA. Preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by his wife, of 30 years, Sun OK (Schugg) Stout, whom he married April 29, 1984; daughters, Sharon (Charles) Hart, So. Bloomfield, Nancy (Dennis) Hickok, Marion, Teresa (Jerry) Messmer, Clarksville, IN, Sandy Ashley (Ed) Simmons, Ripley, WV, and Janet (Larry) Scott, Circleville; step daughter, LeAnn Bosley, Upper Sandusky; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1step granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. At his request, Roberts' body was donated to The Ohio State University, Division of Anatomy. A memorial services will be held at 8 PM Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, Ohio. Rev. William G. Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 PM Friday until the time of service at 8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home.
