Ronald Murphy

Ronald Murphy, 84 of Columbus, OH passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  He was born on June 6, 1938 in Lawrence Co., KY to the late Sherman and Opal (Campbell) Murphy.  Ron was the longtime owner of Ron Murphy Heating and Cooling.  He loved sports especially the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  Ron enjoyed spending time with friends and traveling to Florida.

Besides his late parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Coraleen (Stepp); 2 sons, Randy Murphy and Timothy Murphy; daughter Tandy Trimble; brothers Larry Murphy, Thurman Murphy and Lee Murphy.

Ron is survived by daughter Tracey Murphy; grandchildren Alysia Maxwell (Patrick), Quintin Maxwell (Sarah), Joshua Maxwell (Julie), Jessica Murphy and Warren Kemper; numerous great grandchildren; sisters Doris (Ron) Brannon, Dova (Laurel) Meadows and Dolores (Mike) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thurs. February 2nd at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 3rd at Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point, OH with Rev. Dan Murphy officiating.
