Ronald W. Puckett

Ronald W. Puckett 74 of Oak Hill and formerly of So. Webster, passed away Fri. Dec. 25, 2020 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.  He was born on Sept. 27, 1946 in West Portsmouth to the late Frank and Alice (Clifford) Puckett.  He was a 1965 graduate of Oak Hill H.S. Class of 1965.  Ron had worked for the railroad, also Osco in Jackson, and retired from Bloom-Vernon Elementary School in maintenance after 25 years.  After retirement he enjoyed working his farm and homeplace.  Beside his parents he was preceded in death by brother Kenneth and infant bothers Rodney and James. He is survived by his long time life companion, Wilma J. Bishop; Richard (Kamala) Puckett, Tracey (Carmeletta) Puckett of Chillicothe, Judy Ann Puckett of Pedro; special friend John Bowens; grandchildren Josh, Jodie,Princess Joy, Chris, Brittney, Bo, Little Tracey, Tristen, Cassie , Connor, Josie, Dara; 14 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Roger, Robert, Jeffrey, JoAnn Cox and Pauline Colmer; numerous nieces and nephews; Wilma’s children Paula (Rick) Horn and Rodney Bishop.

Friends may call on Thurs. Dec. 31, 2020 from 12 noon until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home, 202 Maple St. Oak Hill with Rev. Ed Taylor officiating.
