Shirley Rose Clawson

Shirley Rose Clawson, age 78, of Ashville, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1937 in London, England to Charles John and Florence (Moore) East. Shirley had worked at Orient State Institute for 27 years and also had been employed at Park West Rehabilitation Facility in Columbus and The Redman Facility in West Columbus and was a member of Ashville CCCU. Shirley was preceded in death by husband, Robert Clawson and a sister Vera. She is survived by a son, Robert (Nancy) Clawson of Columbus and a daughter, Sherrlynn “Sparky” Clawson of Ashville; siblings Kenny East and Iris Hewer of England; grandchildren, David (Lori) Headlee, Brian and Angela Clawson, Natasha (Josh) Fyffe; great grandchildren, Rayshell, Raylynn, Kennedy, David (Alex), Joshua and Landon; nephew Galen Edwards; niece Melanie Knupp and numerous other nieces and nephews.
At Shirley’s request, cremation will take place and no memorial service or calling hours will be observed.
