Thomas A. Bausum, age 83, of Ashville, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with his family by his side. Tom was born on September 3, 1942, in Columbus to the late Robert A. and Eleanor J. (Brown) Bausum. Tom was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He worked for 30 plus years at Brown Implement as the Parts Manager. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church of Ashville and never missed a meeting with the Rusty Zipper Club.
Tom leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Nancy (Harris); children, Paige (Nick) Kane, Jill (Bill) Robbins, Scott (Cindi) Bausum, and Holly (Michele) Stenger; grandchildren, Casey (Courtney) Miller, Rachel Kane, Allison (Taylor) von Lohr, Joshua Robbins, Peyton (Connor) Burton, Olivia Robbins, Logan (Emma) Bausum, Caitlyn (Zachary) Cullison, Megan Bausum, Brooklyn Bausum; great grandchildren, Parker, Sutton and Millie von Lohr; sisters, Janet (Bill) Lundin and Brenda Bausum; sister-in-laws, Iva Lynch, Barbara Hayward, Sue Harris and Sharon Harris; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Known for his infectious sense of humor and quick wit, he never missed an opportunity to make someone smile. Tom enjoyed the outdoors, especially mowing with his favorite John Deere tractor and was a collector of many things. Tom was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St, Ashville. Pastor Grace Werzinske will offer words of comfort. Burial will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield with military honors by AMVETS Post 2256, Circleville.
