Thomas William Wardell Iii

Thomas William Wardell III, 84 of Ashville, OH passed away on Dec. 25, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Grove City.  Tom was born on Feb. 9, 1940 in Jackson Twp. to Thomas William and Wylma (Dewey) Wardell II. He was a 1958 graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a machinist mate. He owned and operated Thomas Wardell Farm Drainage for years. Tom loved working in the farm fields in Pickaway and surrounding counties.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1947 and his mother in 2001, sister Myrna Siniff, several nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years Teresa (Cummins) Wardell, son Chris (Jeanne) Wardell, son Whit (Michelle) Wardell, daughter Becky (Olivia) Oiler, grandchildren Mallory, Mason, Abigail, Isaac and Wyatt, sister Nancy Rich and several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Linda Hart, high school classmates and friends.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation will take place and no service will be observed at this time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
