Virgie L. (Six) Vause

Virgie L. Vause, 101, Ashville, OH passed away at home on Monday, December 26, 2022.  She was born on July 8, 1921 to the late Virgil and Effie (Acker) Six in Ashville. She was a graduate of Ashville High School and worked as a school secretary. She was a lifelong member of Village Chapel Church.  She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of Duvall Homemaker’s Club.  Virgie was also a member of Pythian Sisters and had served as past chief.

Besides her parents, Virgie is preceded in death by husband Joseph A. Vause in 2007; daughter Lucy Ann Vause Nov. 2022; brothers David and William Six.

She is survived by son Ben (Janice) Vause of Sardinia; grandchildren Matt (Laura), Jody and Julie Vause; step grandchildren Rodney and Ryan Craig.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 4th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by A Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. at Village Chapel Church, 30 Viking Way, Ashville, OH 43103 with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating.
