Wanda L (Cheek) Lemon

Wanda L.  Lemon, 81, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at Best Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born on May 18, 1935 at Ashley Corner, Scioto County, Ohio to the late Kermit H. and Myrtle Holbrook Cheek.  Wanda was a homemaker and gardener.   She was a graduate of South Webster H.S. and was a past member of Eastern Star and Porter Grange.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, David C. Lemon, Sr. in 2010.  She is survived by her son David Jr. (Patty) Lemon of Wheelersburg; daughter Diane Campbell of Minford; brother Gary Cheek (Kaye Gray) of Oak Hill; 7 grandchildren, Lisa, Jill, Crystal, Robin, Tana, Kyle, and Ross; numerous great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18th, 2016 in Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg with Rev. Gary Frampton, officiating.   Burial will follow in Vernon Township Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
