Willa Ann Meeks, 98, of Carroll and formerly of Dunkirk and Findlay, Ohio
went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 25, 2026 at
The Inn at Winchester Trail in Canal Winchester, Ohio. She was born May
28, 1927 in Quincy, IL to the late Frank Elbridge Lawless and Neva Tipton
Lawless. Ann was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio and
more recently had attended Blessed Hope Bible Church in Ashville after
moving to the area to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law. Throughout
her life she worked alongside her husband in their business and farm. She was
actively involved in her local community as well as her church.
Willa Ann learned the value of hard work growing up as an only child on a
western Illinois farm. At eighteen years of age, she moved to Washington, DC,
where she met her future husband Harry Ronald Meeks. In 1952 the couple
moved to a farm near Forest, OH, then to Dunkirk, OH in 1962, and finally to
Findlay, Ohio in 2001. Willa Ann was known for her ability to work hard
while remaining a lady, her award-winning baking and cooking, and her love
for God, family and friends. To the end, she never lost her sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Ronald Meeks in 2009.
She is survived by her children Stephanie (Scott) Phillips and Stephen (Cindy)
Meeks; grandchildren Troy Phillips, Christina (Josh) Murphy, Andrew
(Amy) Phillips, Noah (Vivian) Meeks and Emily Meeks; great grandchildren
