William Richard Cupp

William Richard Cupp, 78 of Lancaster, OH passed away at home on Friday, October 27, 2023.  He was born on April 22, 1945 to the late William Russell and Grace Mae (Gaines) Cupp in Columbus, OH.  William served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and later was a Teamster Local driver for Roadway for 27 years.  He loved fishing and enjoyed going to the casinos.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 28 yrs. Freda Jo (Beekman) Cupp in 2012; brothers Eddie Cupp and Gerald Cupp; sister Donna Allen.

Surviving are daughters Shelly (Ray Jr.)  Spence of Lancaster and Amanda  Buckta of Circleville; grandchildren Josh, Cody, and Will Speakman; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Patty Barnes and Betty Jane (Jim) Moore ; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Greg Myers, Brian Radcliff, Jon Radcliff, Susan O’Hara and Mabel Melson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tues. Oct. 31,2023   from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.  in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville 43103 with Pastor Ronald "Barefoot" Robinson officiating.   Interment with AMVETS Military Honors will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
