William "Bill" James Chester

William “Bill” James Chester Jr. 78 of Ashville, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at OhioHealth Berger Hospital ER in Circleville, OH.  He was born on June 26, 1946 in Frankfort, OH to the late William J. Sr. and Tonya (Crowe) Chester .   Bill served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam

and retired as a Sheeter Operator from Chilpaco Paper Co. A member of

Hedges Chapel and enjoyed gardening, fishing and golfing.

Bill is survived by wife Shirley J. (Shoemaker) Chester; daughter Angela Chester; stepdaughter Teresa (Gene) Agriesti; stepson Charles Ford; brothers Art Diehl and Don Diehl; sister Anna Diehl; numerous grandchildren.

Services will be held at Hedges Chapel, Ashville on Thursday, March 6th with Visitation from 3-5 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service with AMVETS Military Honors at 5 p.m. and concluding with Pastor Steve Palmer and John Colburn.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:  Hedges Chapel 15495 Winchester Rd.
