William "Bill" R. Wood

William “Bill” R. Wood, 79 of Ashville, OH passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH.  Bill was born on November 14, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Robert and Eleanor (Davis) Wood.  He was a graduate of Hubbard High School and Youngstown State. Bill served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He had retired from working for the IRS.  Bill enjoyed golfing and watching OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns Football.

Along with his parents, Bill is also preceded by brother Robert Wood and sister Carol Fornadel.

Bill is survived by Donna J. Fite, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Wood, Mike and Tim Wood, Amy (Jason) Happenny, Abbey (Paul) Kroeger; Deacon, Sophia, Baker, Morgan, Dylan and Jack; Donna Wood; Dawna Wood and Sam.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be observed. Memorial donations may be made to: DASH Animal Rescue, 13525 Hoover Rd.
