Willis R Browning Jr.

Willis R. “Willie” Browning, Jr. 47 of Ashville, OH went home to be with his Lord on  Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.   He was born on September 23, 1975 in Williamson, WV.

Willie had been a minister for 29 years and was a member of Hilock Fellowship Church in Columbus.  He had worked as Director of Maintenance at several senior care facilities over many years.  As his children were in sports he enjoyed coaching and his favorite team was the Denver Bronco’s.

Willie is survived by his wife of 22 years Amanda L. (Swank); parents Rosa Horn and Willis (Pam) Browning; children Isaiah, Hannah, Abigail, and Josiah; sister Catrina (Kelly) Williams; brother-in-law Allen Swank; nieces and nephews  Curtis, Browning, Austin Browning, Anissa Horvath, Kacey Williams, Noah and Alex Swank; great niece and 2 great nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends.  The family will receive friends on Friday January 27th  from 5-8 in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hilock Fellowship Church 805 Corr Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43207 with Rev’s Michael Back, Ken Allen, and Ray Messer. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, So.
