Wilma J. (Cooper) Bishop

Wilma J. Bishop, 72 of Oak Hill, formerly of South Webster, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at SOMC in Portsmouth. She was born on February 9, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Alvin and Abbie (Fulk) Cooper.  Wilma retired from Bloom Local Schools.

Wilma is preceded in death by husband Arnold Bishop and life companion Ronald Puckett on December 25, 2020, sister Myrna Fay Cooper, and brothers Alvin Cooper Jr, Ithiel Cooper, and Bo Cooper.

Wilma is survived by children Paula (Rick) Horn of Portsmouth and Rodney Bishop of South Webster; grandchildren Whitney (Brian) Seiling, Cody (Krisey) Brown, Joey (Kindra) Horn, and Wyatt Bishop; great-grandchildren Aiden, Lillian, Violet, Tucker, Ronnie, and Ashton.  She is also survived by brothers Artie (Lucilla) Cooper of Oak Hill, Ronnie Cooper of Dayton, Terry (Trina) Cooper of South Webster, sister-in-law Claudia Cooper of Wheelersburg, Ronald’s children Richard (Kamala) Puckett, Tracey (Carmeletta) Puckett of Chillicothe, Judy Ann Puckett of Pedro; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6th at Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill Ohio with Rev. Merit Smith officiating. Interment will follow in South Webster Cemetery in South Webster, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
