Wilma M. Sark, age 97 of Ashville passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Gahanna, OH on January 17, 1929, to the late James D. and Elizabeth R. (Compton) Robbins. She was a 1947 graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School who went on to farm alongside her late husband Charlie. She was an exceptional homemaker who loved to bake and cook. Every year family and friends looked forward to a variety of her Christmas cookies. In addition, she was an excellent seamstress with a love for quilting and crocheting. Wilma was always out of crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. A longtime member of Village Chapel Church, she adored working in the kitchen at church, preparing dinners and being a member of the “Noodle Crew”, making noodles and pies for the church’s Pumpkin Show booth.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles R. Sark (2019); son, John Stephen (2015), sister-in-law, Peggy Robbins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell (Helen) Robbins, Richard (Jeri) Robbins and brother, James C. Robbins; nephew, Gary Robbins and niece, Sally Robbins.
She leaves behind her daughter, Marty Barr; grandsons, Alan and Aaron (Stephanie Thomma) Barr; brother, Bill Robbins; nieces and nephews, Scott Robbins, Tim (Angie Smalley) Robbins, Bill (Jill) Robbins, Teresa (Gary) Philbrick, Jeff (Angie) Robbins, Joy (Jud) Williams, Ron (Erica) Robbins, Carrie (John) Work, and Michael Robbins; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A special thank you to anyone who visited and checked on Wilma, your kindness will be remembered.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15 followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. Interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Village Chapel Church, 30 Circleville Avenue, Ashville or Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 116 Morris Rd. Suite B, Circleville, OH 43113.
