Alan H. Hall, 81 of Ashville, OH passed away at home on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1941 to the late Harry and Gladys Hall in Akron, OH. He was raised in Barberton and was a 1960 graduate of Barberton High School. He served in the US Navy 1961-1963 on the USS Little Rock during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On December 4, 1964, he married the love of his life Diana M. Eddleman in the Southwest Church of Christ by Pastor Daryl Swearingen. He retired from Commercial Parts and Service working for 15 years in sales. He had also been a past service tech for Hobart and Wasserstrom and drove school bus for Teays Valley for 12 years. Alan was a member and elder of Pickaway Church of Christ, a member of The Lighthouse Singers and the Circleville Men’s Barbershop group.
Besides his parents, Alan is preceded in death by brother Joe Hall; aunt Glenna (Bill) Winkle; his dog Sammy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Diana; children Terri (Branko) Petrovich and Michael Alan (Miranda) Hall; grandchildren Alana Petrovich and Tori Wilson; great grandchildren Lila, Gracie and Bentley; sister Glenna Marie (Ron) Ross; nephews Rob, Rick, Ryan, Ray and Donald; beloved dog Buddy.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, August 14th with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15th at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville 43103 with Dan Stansell officiating. Interment will follow with AMVETS Military Honors at Harrison Township Cemetery in South Bloomfield.
