Anna Kate Murtha

Anna Kate Murtha, 98 of Circleville, OH passed away on Tues. March 3, 2020 at Logan Elm Healthcare in Circleville.  Anna Kate was born on Nov. 11, 1921 to the late Edward Joseph and Anne (McIntyre) Murtha in Uniontown, PA.  Anna Kate proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in administrative duties in Washington D.C.  She later resided in the Cleveland area, was a member of St. Dominic’s of Shaker Heights Catholic Church, an active member of Maple Heights Senior Center, an avid golfer, bridge player, enjoyed reading and loved the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Anna Kate is also preceded in death by a son Robert Huet, a daughter Dianne Huet, brother Thomas Murtha, brother and sister-in-law Edward Jr. and Marie Murtha, sister-in-law Leone Hamilton, brother-in-law Martin Rottler and brother-in-law Harry Rowe.

Surviving Anna Kate are son Timothy (Susan) Huet of SC; daughter Susan (James) Coffman of Circleville; daughter-in-law Tina Huet; 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; sisters Mary Lou Rottler and Elaine Rowe; many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Anna Kate’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.  Care of family and arrangements are being handled by Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home of Ashville, OH.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
