Barbara Jean (Munyan) Hopper

Barbara Jean Hopper, 79 of Ashville, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at O’Neill Nursing Home in Bay Village, OH. Barbara was born on October 17, 1944, in Toledo, OH and adopted by the late Delbert and Marie Munyan.  Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, going antiquing, quilting with friends, and watching her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Lloyd C. Hopper and stepdaughter Melody Vogel. 

Barbara is survived by her children, daughter Lisa (Terry) Simpson of Circleville, OH, son Steve (Chris) McCormick of Ft. Myers, FL, and daughter Amanda (Mark) Sertich of Lakewood, OH; stepchildren Chuck (Kathy) Hopper of Newark, OH, Larry Hopper of Cambridge, OH, Marcie (Ronald) Williams of Westerville, OH, Melissa (George) Cenky of Thornport, OH; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 6th and 1 hour prior (10-11) to Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7th with Rev. Lonnie Potts officiating at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103.  Interment will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation, 525 E.
