Charles attended South Bloomfield United Methodist Church. He was a long-standing volunteer at Ashville’s Small-Town Museum. He was honored by the Ashville Community Men’s Club as the Distinguished Citizen in 2009. Charles was a kind, soft-spoken man who loved to sing (especially at church) and share stories of his childhood in Kentucky. During the summer you’d see him walking to the museum or sitting out back in his swing, reading or dozing. God Blessed him with a long, healthy life. He will be missed but we have the promise of seeing him again one day.
