Charles W. Plants of Lockbourne, OH, passed away July 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1943 in Henderson, WV, and was the fifth child of the late Gilbert and Opal Plants. Charles was a retired union carpenter with Local 200, Columbus and worked at M & P Construction for 35 years. He also worked for ALD Precast and Manheim Enterprise. He was a proud member of the 101st Airborne in the U.S. Army. He had over 60 parachute jumps including five for President John F. Kennedy.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Brenda (Henson) Plants; daughters Tonya (John) Overby, Tracey (Ray) Paige, grandchildren; Trista, Jeffrey, Stormi, and Autumn Overby, Justin (Skye) Paige, and Cassaundra (Matthew) Seymour, great-grandchildren, Kayden, Paisley, Kendall Kyler, and Maddi; brothers; Eugene Plants, Gilbert (Maggie) Plants, and Donald (Greta) Plants; sisters; Vella Day, Nancy Lemley, Violet (Roger) Roberts, Carolyn (Larry) Fellure, Ruth (Gerald) Wyatt, Linda (Alna) Hall, and Joann (Howard) Wellington and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20th with Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21st at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville 43103 with Rev.
