Donna Jean (Powell) Sturgill

Donna Jean Sturgill, 85 of Londonderry, OH passed away at home on Monday, September 4, 2023.  Donna was born on March 3, 1938 to the late Floyd and Mildred (Weisenberger) Powell in Troy, OH.  She was employed as a Secretary by Goodyear in Jackson, OH for many years.  She attended Pentecostal Holiness House of Prayer in Wellston and led Bible Study in her home. 

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Sturgill in 2007; sisters Helen, Janice, Carol and Thelma; son Rick Sturgill; grandson Robby; great grandson James.

Donna is survived by sons Frank E. Sturgill of Londonderry, Tony (Ruth) Sturgill Sr. of Rockbridge and Greg (Jennifer) Sturgill of Ashville; grandchildren Brandy Brown, Rick Jr., Michael (Renee), Tony Jr. (Jennifer), Kelli (Mike) Peters, Karri (Thomas) Smith, Braiden and Greg (Haley); brother Jerry (Doralee) Powell; special niece Rachel Costilow; special cousin Kevin Humphreys; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8th from 12 p.m. until Time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 32103 with Pastor Ron Goodling officiating.  Interment will follow at Heavenly Hills Memory Garden, Circleville.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:  American Kidney Foundation, 1491 Polaris Pkwy, Ste 268, Columbus, OH 43240.
