Irene W. (Tipton) Copley

Irene W. Copley, 72 of Ashville, OH passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 5, 1949 to the late Julius and Columbia (Dillon) Tipton in Kermit, WV.  Irene was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School. Irene enjoyed hobbies including gardening, painting, crafts, animals, fishing, auto mechanics and loved blue grass music especially Nathan Stanley. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.  Her battle with dementia is finally over, she’s in Heaven with her Savior and loved ones who went before her.  Until we meet again…. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband James Copley;  siblings Loraine Tipton and Arvel Tipton; father of her children Denver Warden; son-in-law Ike Rose; longtime friend Delores Wells; beloved pets Scrappy and Itsy.

Irene is survived by daughters Peggy Warden, Linnie (Tony) Riley and Mary (Dave) Case; brother Dalis Tipton; grandchildren Tiffany Barnhart, Joseph Riley, Paul (Lyndzie) Warden, Miranda Warden, Steven Jordan, Kimberly Jordan, Scott Riley, Maggie Reynolds; great grandchildren Levi, Luke, Jane, Haiden, Charlie, Carson, Camryn; numerous nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 4th   from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville 43103 with Pastor Tracy Fowler.  Interment will follow at Jackson Township Cemetery, Circleville.
