Janet Marie "Cricket" (Walke) Foreman

Janet Marie “Cricket”  Foreman, 77 of South Bloomfield, passed away Sat. February 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.   She was born in Ironton, Ohio on Aug. 10, 1945 to the late Wells and Garnet (Murnaham) Walke. Janet had retired from Sear’s Fashion Center in Columbus. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Billy J. Foreman, sons Bobby Wells and Billy Joe Foreman, 3 sisters Betty Lynn Walke, Ernestine Lunsford, and Lena Jo Osborne, and special friend Charles Crum.

Cricket is survived by children Jimmy Lee Foreman of Ashville, Gary Eugene (Stacy) Foreman of Laurelville, and Annette Marie (Jim) Jarvis of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren; 7 great greandchildren; sister Mary Hargett of Beaver Falls, PA. and brother Calvin (Cherly) Walke of Bethel, OH; sister-in-law Sharon (Tom) Sampson of Ashville; many nieces , nephews, and special friends.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00  p.m. in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with Pastor Ron Goodling officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery.
