Larry Lee Leist

Larry Lee Leist, 78, of Circleville passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Ohio Health Berger Hospital, Circleville.   He was born on Nov. 4, 1944, in Circleville to the late Gerald and Mable Leona (McCain) Leist.  He was a graduate of Teays Valley High School, Class of 1963. Larry was a lifelong farmer in Fairfield and Pickaway counties. He was a member of Gideons International, he attended Faith Memorial in Lancaster, and had been a member of the Farm Bureau.

Larry was a faithful husband, beloved father, and proud grandfather.  He loved to work hard and was always helping others.  Larry enjoyed gospel music and was a bold Bible believing disciple of Jesus Christ, who was passionate about sharing the gospel. He will be greatly missed.

 Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother Jimmie. 

Survivors include his wife Valley L. (Miller) of 56 years; children Phillip (Susan) Leist, Jeffrey (Anne) Leist, Matthew Leist, Jason (Sarah) Leist, Jill (Scott) Cavanaugh, Christina (Philip) Bruning, Lisa (Steven) Herron, Amy (Christopher) Mosley, Kimberly (Justin) Strickland, Marcus Leist, and Justin (fiancé Lydia) Leist; with 55 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister Linda (Louis) McFarland; nephew Louis (Rose) McFarland; also a host of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 1:00 pm until the time of Service at 4:00 pm at Faith Memorial Church 2610 West Fair Ave. Lancaster, Ohio 43130, with Pastor Jonathan Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Gideons International P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
