Lyle J West Sr.

Lyle J. West Sr. age 71 of Ashville, OH passed away at home on Monday, April 8, 2024.  He was born on May 10, 1952 to the late Kenneth and Carlotta Mae (Grant) West Sr. in Homer, NY.  He was a graduate of DeRuyter High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked in manufacturing at RCA for 20 years in Circleville and then retired from Luxottica in Lockbourne.  He enjoyed fishing and loved watching the Syracuse Orangeman and New York Giants. 

Besides his parents, Lyle is preceded in death by a daughter Audrey Little Dove West; his brothers Donnie and Rick.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary E. (Rison) West; children James M. (Tammy) West, Lyle John West II, Elizabeth “Niki” (Steven) Sophonrath and Travis W. West; his siblings Carol Daugherty, Kenneth (Dawn) West Jr., Darryl West, Frank West, Debbie Quehl and Roger West; grandchildren Dakota West, Brantley and Nellie Sophonrath; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with Family will be on Saturday, April 13th from 1100 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Following at 1:00 p.m. AMVETS Military Honors and a Memorial Service with Danny Smith officiating at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W.
