Paul F. Bowman, of Ashville, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. He was born on July 16, 1935 to the late Hal and Kathleen Bowman in Lancaster, OH. Paul was a 1954 graduate of Berne Union High School and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Here he worked in telecommunications with the Signal Corp at White Sands, New Mexico Missile Range. After his military service, he went on to work in telecommunications for GTE and The Chillicothe Telephone Company for a dedicated career that spanned 42 years. He was a former member and trustee of Hedges Chapel United Methodist Church and a current member of Village Chapel.
He is preceded in death by his son, James F. Bowman, brothers Gene and Ted and sisters Twila and Donna.
Surviving are Paul’s wife of 59 years Wanda C. (Barker) Bowman; Daughter Carolyn (Jim) Park; Granddaughters Lauren, Gabby, Samantha and Olivia; Numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation with family will be held at Village Chapel Church 30 Viking Way, Ashville on Tuesday November 21 from 5-7 p.m. Military Honors and Funeral Service at 7:00p.m. with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Ohio chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
