Ralph Samuel Coon

Ralph Samuel “Cooney” Coon, 85 of Lockbourne, OH passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023.  He was born on May 23, 1938 in Lockbourne, OH to the late Charles and Murrell (Cahoon) Coon.  Ralph was a graduate of Hamilton Twp. High School and was a grater operator for Atlas Construction.  He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Lockbourne, the Mayor of Lockbourne for several years, a member of the Local Operators Union #18, was active in Lockbourne Village Council, a member of Fernwood Graveside Committee, and an avid OSU fan.

In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his brothers, Rolland, Henry, David, and Raymond Coon. 

He is survived by his daughter Rene Conn of Lockbourne; sons Bill (Kim) Hart of Adelphi and Ed Coon of Lockbourne; sister Leta Frazier of Commercial Point; granddaughter Elizabeth (Jacob) Kearney; grandson Zach Conn; great grandson Billy Hartzell; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27th from 11 a.m. to 1  p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Rev.
