Rex Blankenship

Rex Blankenship, 70 of Orient, OH passed away at home on Saturday, September 23, 2023.  Rex was born on July 30, 1953 to the late Jess and Orpha (Hart) Blankenship in Circleville, OH.  He retired after 40 years as a Mill Operator at Buckeye Steel. 

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death his wife in 1998 Ridia (Janie) (Smith) Blankenship; son Jeremy Stotridge; brothers Harley Blankenship, Thurman Eugene Blankenship and Jessie Blankenship Jr.; sisters Pansay Ghering and Mazie Blankenship.

Rex is survived by brothers Darl, William, Robert and Martin Blankenship; sisters Luella Berry, Candy Backus and Ethel Campbell; special niece Issy Berry; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Funeral Service on Thursday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103 with Pastor Keith Parsons officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery in Circleville.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 360 Hospice, 3455 Mill Run Dr. Suite 100, Hilliard, OH 43026.  Online condolences at olivercheekfuneralhome.com
