Thomas  L. “Tom” Wood 75 of Pennsville and formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Thurs. March 16, 2023. . He was born on July 14, 1947 in Stoutsville, Ohio to the late Harry L. and Martha L. (Dundon) Wood. 

Tom worked at Anchor Hocking in Lancaster for 25 years.

He was the kind of guy who didn’t know a stranger and kindled friendships with everyone he met. Tom was a follower of the Lord, and had gone on several mission trips where he enjoyed sharing Christ and helping others. He attended Fairfield Christian Church.

He was very talented in “All” trades and enjoyed using his talents to help anyone in need.  Tom always had a project in the works and his real passion was for woodworking, and leaves behind several handmade pieces that will be cherished forever.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by stepson Brian “Scott” Farley,  grandson Zachary Todd Miller, and granddaughter Jillian Lauren Adams.

He is survived by his daughters, Tina Halter, Angie (Kirk) Smith and Lori Miller; grandchildren, Ryan Farley, Sierra Farley, Chelsey Ward, Cheyenne Hansley, Tyler Halter, Kaley Robertson and Ali Smith; sister and brother, Patricia (Jack) Gardner and Richard (Conda) Wood; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends.

The family will receive friends at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 3:00 until the time of Service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Hand officiating.
